Warm Kulolo and Haupia Ice Cream
BEST authentic Hawaiian food I have had on the island.
The poi, the poi, the poi. Holy. So fresh! Had the squid lu’au and I couldn’t stop eating it. The chicken long rice was delicious. Lomi salmon has so much flavour. The guys that work here are so friendly and you can tell it’s being run well.
I can’t get over this humble little spot! You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Their poi is super fresh and among the best I’ve tasted.
Oh man this place is ono! Let’s start with dessert first: the Sweet Lady of Waiahole, which is warm kulolo (taro dessert) with haupia ice cream, is out of this world. The warm, sweet, gooey kulolo melts the haupia ice cream and it’s a delightful bite!
